Welcome to Design & Make With Shanice — a space dedicated to sewing, creativity, and self-expression through fashion. I created this space for fellow creatives who want to learn sewing, fashion, and self-expression through creating. Here, I share sewing tutorials, thrift transformations, and affordable fashion recreations to show that you don’t need a big budget to create a stylish wardrobe.
I focus on helping you learn how to make your own clothes at home — whether that’s recreating designer-inspired pieces, transforming thrifted finds, or making simple handmade garments from scratch.
Alongside sewing, I also explore design through small creative collections, where I turn my artwork into wearable pieces. Feel free to explore my shop for patterns, handmade items, and creative collections designed by me.
Born and raised in London, I’ve always had a love for creativity and fashion. From a young age, I found myself drawn to designing clothes, sketching ideas, and bringing inspiration from films and TV into my own creative world.
By the time I was 9, I knew I wanted to pursue a path where I could fully express myself through design and making. That passion has since grown into sewing, creating, and building my own pieces from scratch.
Today, I’m continuing that journey as a sewist and creative, sharing my process and inspiring others to explore fashion in their own way.
