About
Hi I'm Shanice,
Born and raised in London, I have always wanted to be a fashion entrepreneur. Throughout my childhood, I have always been a creative and artistic child, designing clothes and cartoon characters came to me almost effortlessly. I was always inspired by the shows and films I watched growing up and was fascinated by the clothes worn in the shows. When I was 9, I decided that I wanted to pursue fashion, or a career where I could fully express my creativity.
I started learning to sew in Year 10 during my Fashion and Textiles course and have continued ever since, but started working with industrial machinery when I started my apprenticeship.
After gaining confidence in garment making during my apprenticeship, I decided to go to a fashion university to further develop my skills in pattern cutting, design and learning the Adobe software. This course also gave me the opportunity to intern with a fashion designer and see the logistics of running a fashion brand working with a small team, which I enjoyed as it gave me more hands on experience and training.

Educational & Entrepreneurial Background
- I graduated with a First Class BA Hons in Fashion from the University for the Creative Arts in Surrey, after graduating I decided that I was ready to venture into my own fashion business. I then relocated to Ghana in 2020 to start my journey into fashion entrepreneurship and thus SH WEAR was born, however decided to venture into a sewing business instead bringing Design and Make With Shanice to reality.
- In 2023 I set up SH Branding studio, as I realised I am also passionate about graphic designing. I decided to monetize my skills of sewing and graphic design and want to use Design and Make with Shanice as a platform for others to learn and get inspired.
Mission
I am here to provide high quality services and products to my clients. I also aim to share my expertise and knowledge gained over the years to help teach those who also have an interest in sewing, graphic design and creative entrepreneurship. This space is for inspiration and education.

I aim to incorporate sustainable practises in my production process. Trying to eliminate unnecessary waste and finding innovative ways to upcycle clothing.
